TAYRAŞ is pursuing its vision and mission to achieve Clean Production Technology and Added Value Products, particularly underlined in the Environmental Law and the relevant Regulations by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization for Recycling of Used Lubricating Oil.

Successful and promising students are included into our academic career pool and employed by TAYRAŞ upon their graduation. Students of various departments of the university are provided internship opportunities at TAYRAŞ.

TAYRAŞ, in collaboration with İTÜNOVA Technology Transfer Office, a Sustainability Management Project is being applied in the refinery construction, installation and production processes.

TAYRAŞ closely monitors the European Union (EU) lubricants sector, legislation and technological developments. TAYRAŞ is the only Turkish entity that is a member of the Union of European Re-Refineries (GEIR). All developments within the European Union, both as to the legislation and to the product requirements, are conveyed by TAYRAŞ and utilized for the benefit of Turkey. TAYRAŞ participates regularly in all relevant activities.

Waste Management Platform (TÜRKTAY) in Turkey has been supported by Turkey’s leading establishment and institutions in the waste sector since 2010. It is considered the most prominent organization in this field, and is organized under the care of the Ministry of Environment and Urban Planning.

The Refinery waste water management system is developed in collaboration with Gebze Technical University, and ensures that waste water generated at the TAYRAŞ Refinery is managed in accordance with Best Available Technology and Turkish Regulations, and reused for irrigation.
